Build a terminal and place it between the generator and the object. Many of these objects can be altered through the use of a Terminal.

Power Counter - Will activate after a certain time has passed.

Interval Switch - Will activate and deactivate by itself.

Delayed On Switch - Hit the button to deactivate, then the object will activate after a short time.

Delayed Off Switch - Hit the button to activate, then the object will deactivate after a short time.

Laser Tripwire - Pass through the laser to activate.

Pressure Plate - Will only work if standing on plate.

Several switches may be a bit confusing at first, so here is a quick rundown: The Delayed On Switch and Delayed Off Switch also work the same way. Step on the plate to activate the object. Connect a wire from the Generator to the Pressure Plate and finally to the object. Using a Pressure Plate works the same way. From here, simply activate the switch on and off whenever you want! Connect a wire from the generator to the Switch, then another wire from the Switch to the either the object or the conduit or pylon you are trying to connect to. What if you want to turn certain wires of a generator on and off? This is where the Switch comes in. Using a Switch is only a single wall in length. The size of the power grid created by the pylons and conduits is approximately the length of two walls in all directions. These are typically used indoors or on the outside of building. If you're looking for a bigger power grid, try using the large Power Pylon.Д¬onduits serve the same purpose, but these can be placed on walls, floors, and ceilings. However, a wire will need to be connected to the Power Pylon itself from the generator. With this in place, you'll be able to place objects next to it without the need of a wire. There are several items that will allow you to create a power grid where these objects needing power can be placed. While some objects just need a simple wire to activate, others will need to be placed in a power grid. Traps require a wired connection, but they do not subtract from your total electricity output from a generator. You will also want to avoid sending a wire through a wall or another object as this can also cause it not to work.

In that case, you'll want to install Power Pylon to allow the wire to go further. If the object is too far, the wire won't connect. How close the generator is to the object is also important.
